Health Insurance Counseling Project -- Offers free health insurance information, education, counseling, and legal services to seniors and people with disabilities who live in the District of Columbia, and to their families and caregivers. The HICP helps to resolve unpaid medical bills, to appeal denials of medical services, and to apply for prescription discounts. Call the help-line at  202-739-0668 (TTY 202-973-1079) for information and to make an appointment. Confidential messages can be left at any time and calls will be returned during regular business hours.
